      Doug Elliott is a naturalist, storyteller, singer, and entertainer who connects people with the natural world in a fun and engaging way. He has traveled from the forests of the Canadian North to the Central American jungles investigating the natural world, collecting plant and animal lore and researching articles for this book. He has lectured, taught classes, conducted workshops and performed storytelling in concert for various organizations including the American Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Institution.
